Its another gold for Manu Bhaker; creates another record

Sensational Manu Bhaker wins her second gold medal in 10m Air Pistol at the ISSF Shooting World Cup held in Guadalajara in Mexico. Partnering with Om Prakash Mitharval, she won the team event by scoring 476.1 points against the German pair of Christian Reitz and Sandra Reitz.

“Personally everything is the same for me. But yes, shooters from other countries have started recognising me after the two medals,” said Manu after becoming the first Indian shooter to win two gold in a single World Cup. Her medals came against Olympic and World champions. 

The duo of Deepak Kumar and Mehuli Ghosh won bronze in the 10m Air Rifle mixed team event.The Indians shot 435.1 points. They finished behind the Romanian pair of Alin Moldoveanu and Laura-Georgeta Coman who shot 498.4 for silver.The Chinese pair of Xu Hong and Chen Keduo set up a world record score of 502 to clinch the gold.

India now has seven medals – 3 gold and 4 bronze- and is now on top of the medal tally in this World Cup.
