After her 100m silver-winning performance, Dutee Chand clinched silver in the 200m race at the Asian Games 2018. Dutee, placed in No 3 lane, gave a tough fight to all the competitors but could not beat Edidiong Odiong of Bahrain. While Odiong finished the race in 22.96 seconds, Dutee clocked 23.20 seconds.

Dutee has emerged as the star of this year’s Asian Games. She ruled like a queen in her track events. In 100m, she finished with a silver after a close contest with the same Odiong Edidiong.

The 22-year-old from one of the remotest parts of Odisha is taking part in her first Asian Games. She was suspended by the IAAF in 2014 under its hyperandrogenism policy but she filed an appealed before the Court of Arbitration for Sports and won it.
