India won the bronze medal in Men’s Hockey at the Asian Games 2018 after registering a 2-1 win over Pakistan. Akashdeep Singh scored a brilliant field goal in the 3rd minute while Harmanpreet Singh scored from the penalty corner in the 50th minute.

A goal from Muhammad Aziz brought Pakistan back into the match but it was not enough to win them the match. The Indians have now defeated their arch rivals Pakistan for the second time in the last three months. The last win before this came in the Champions Trophy in June 2018.

The Indians who played like eleven men in mission, did not repeat the same mistake which they committed against Malaysia in the semi-finals. They managed to hold on to the lead till the end of the game.
