Spain calling for young footballers; Luv Kapoor and Ishan Sahi sign for Palamos FC

Palamos FC, the oldest football club in Catalonia and third oldest in Spain, have signed two Indian footballers for the first time in their 120 years of long history. Delhi-based footballer Luv Kapoor and Madhya Pradesh boy Ishaan Sahi, both plays U-19 football in India. This is the highest level at which any Indian player has ever been signed on in the Spanish football system.

Luv has trained in England and France for over three years. This opportunity has come through a Spanish football academy, Perfect Football, that trains young players and provides an opportunity to some of the talented  players to play in European Leagues. Luv, whose transfer has been processed by the All India Football Federation, would be playing under an amateur contract initially.

Ishan Sahi

Another young footballer, Ishan Sahi, has also signed for Palamos. Ishan had been training with the first team of Palamos quite for sometime. His contract has also been  facilitated by Perfect Football. The signing of two Indian players has garnered a lot of attention and has been covered widely by the Spanish media.

Her love for sports started from an early age when she played gully cricket and football for local teams. Academics and professional hazards sometimes took her away from her passion, but it never died in her. She always nurtured the never-ending dream.
