Indian women registered a thrashing victory over Pakistan in their 3rd match in Women’s World Cup at derby. Left-arm spinner Ekta Bisht took 5 wicket to help India win by 95 runs. India won the toss and elected to bat first but could not take the advantage as the batters made a meagre 169 for the loss of 9 wickets. Punam Raut top-scored with 47 while Sushma Verma hit 33. For Pakistan Nashra Sandhu took 4 wickets and Sadia Yousuf took 2 wickets. defending a low score India started on a positive note. Veteran pacer Jhulan Goswami had the most successful outing of the tournament when she gave away only 12 runs in her 5 overs with 1 wicket. But the star of the match was Ekta whose 5-wicket haul roller-coasted the Pakistan innings. with this win India have now earned 6 points from three matches.
