Khelo India University Games 2021- Swimmers from Jain University dominate the pool by winning 14 gold

Tokyo Olympian Srihari Natraj and talented Siva Sridhar shared 10 gold medals between themselves representing Jain University.

Siva Sridhar won seven gold and two silver medal as host Jain University dominated the pool with 14 gold medals in Swimming. Siva Sridhar now intends to make the 2022 Asian Games cut in the 100m Backstroke category. 

Srihari Nataraj grabbed three gold medals in 3 events- 100m Freestyle, 50m Backstroke and 4x200m Freestyle Relay. His teammates in Relay were Sanjay Jayakrishnan, Siva Sridhar and Raj Relekar.

A total of 25 Boxing medals were decided on Day 6 of the KIUG2021. In the women’s competition, 26 different universities won a medal, with eleven different universities winning gold in the 12 weight categories. In Judo, Asmita Dey from Barkatullah University and Simran from Maharshi Dayanand University won gold in Women’s 48kg and 52kg respectively while in the Men’s category, Ajay  from Kurukshetra University and Keshav from Punjab University won gold in 60kg and 66kg final.
