Tajinder pal Singh brings gold at the end of Day 7; wins Men’s Shot Put at the Asian Games

A gold at the end of Day 7. Tajinderpal Singh Toor wins gold in Men’s Shot Put creating a Games Record. Tejinder shot 19.96m in his first attempt, 19.15m in his second one, 19.96m in his third but finally finishing with 20.75 in his fifth attempt.

Yang Liu from China won the silver and Ivan Ivanov from Kazakhstan won the bronze.

Tejinder had his personal best outdoor throw of 20.40m at the Federation Cup National Senior Athletics Championships in 2017. He bettered his throw in the Asian Games to give India the 7th gold medal.
