Jinson Johnson claims gold in Men’s 1500m, Chitra wins bronze in Women’s 1500m

Jinson Johnson had no intention to finish in any other position rather than finishing first in Men’s 1500m. He made up his gold medal loss in 800m by clinching the gold in 1500m by clocking 3:44.72 seconds. Iran’s Amir Moradi won the silver with 3:45.62 seconds and Bahrain’s Mohammed Tiouali claimed the bronze by clocking 3:45.88 seconds.

Asian champion P U Chitra won the bronze in Women’s 1500m race. Chitra finished in third position with a timing of 4:12.56 seconds. Chitra, however, bettered her Asian Championship timing where she had won gold in the 2017 in a timing of 4:17.92 seconds.
